Yes, it’s that time of year again, the time when the ragged fingernails of wind rip the flesh from your face, the ice-needles of rain fly sideways  and everyone in the South of England gets stuck in their cars for five days because a snowflake’s been sighted by a taxi driver in Sevenoaks (called Alf).  It is, in fact, the time of year when we start thinking about summer and long warm evenings and beers out of doors and… and… ah sod it, it’s time to plan a European tour! 

We are delighted to announce that we will be playing at this year’s Brussels Jazz Marathon on Saturday 24th May in the Havana Club (www.havana-brussels.com) and at L’Olympic’s weekend event in Paris (Fri 30/Sat 31st).  We’re also in negotiations over a number of other dates within that week which we’ll tell you about as and when we know more.  In summary, then, we’re off to Northern Europe in the last week of May.  Do you know they have menues for all the different kinds of Hoegaarden in Brussels? I might stay off the Leffe this year after what has become known as ‘Huy-gate’. (If you want to know more about the last tour, you’ll just have to come along to a gig soon and hear the new song ‘Get Back in the Van’.)  Maybe see you tonight at La Roche Rumba in Glasgow!
