Amplifico Webathon and t’ing

Ooh it’s been ages since our last update but much has happened. Very soon we’ll be converting this news page to a blog so we’ll be able to witter on more regularly.

Latest news first – we’ve been invited by our pals Amplifico To play as part of their pioneering Webathon event on July 19th at The Bongo Club. Final details haven’t been confirmed but it’ll be a cracking night all round with 4 bands, DJs, giveaways etc.. and if you can’t make it along, it’s being webcast live by the Nexus Live crew so you’ll be able to watch us from home with your “baffies” on and a mug of cocoa.

Thanks to all who came to see us last minute at Henry’s Cellar Bar at the weekend it was a great night with sets from The Douglas Kay Band (who warmed Hugh up for us nicely) and Keith Paton of Hoochie Fig. DJ Si provided cool grooves and we unveiled a new song The Key To Evolution that Marty had just written the words to that afternoon. Thanks to Sheonagh for operating the comedy auto-cue Marty spent almost as much time making so he wouldn’t forget the words.

Thanks also for another great night in The Jazz Bar a few weeks back. We return on 4th August as part of the Jazz on the Fringe program.

In mid-June we had a brilliant road-trip down south where we played the Herts. Uni. Summer Ball, sharing the bill with Welsh Rappers Goldie Lookin’ Chain and a jam-packed night in London’s 12 Bar so thanks to all who came to support us!

The Edinburgh Festival beckons and we’re honoured to headline the launch night of the Acoustic Edinburgh Festival once again. Don’t forget our crazy Highland’s Tour in mid-August with Amplifico and awesome Scots Hip-Hop duo MC Solareye Samurai and DJ Default of DoPE

Also, we’ve confirmed another couple of dates down in Newcastle upon Tyne for 1st Sept and 27th Oct back in Mr. Lynch

See you at a gig soon!
